The students retain and/or develop self-motivation, a healthy self-image, and an appreciation of others by virtue of what they are able to learn and accomplish within a school environment designed for their enjoyment and success.
A healthy self is developed through the engagement of skills for learning, work and life., skills that incorporate but are not limited to collaboration, teamwork, mutual respect and appreciation, inquiry, problem-solving, attention to audience, and effective use of language; as well as, technical skills and academic and artistic inspiration.
The multiage and multilingual context celebrates and reinforces diversity in learning and thinking and transformational possibilities over time.
Through the development of a broad range of interests and skills, the students will develop the capacity to find or create a place for themselves in the wider world with independence and courage.
Spacious classrooms and an abundance of books, hands-on materials and technological resources are provided for the enrichment of the students’ learning experience.

Administrators and teachers constantly reflect on and improve their understanding and implementation of effective teaching and learning, both individually and through the professional development opportunities offered.

Orientations and other opportunities are provided for parents so they may actively support their child’s education.
Throughout the school year, multiple and varied opportunities are available for families to learn, engage with, and appreciate the learning at NewIS.
保護者を対象に、子どもたちの教育を積極的にサポートしていただけるよう、オリエンテーションなどの機会を設けています。
年間を通して、ご家族がNewISでの学習について学び、参加し、理解するための様々な機会を用意します。
Professional placement counseling is provided for options after NewIS.
NewIS卒業後のためのきめ細やかな進路指導を行ないます。
